Simon Corbett Architect

Lantau is the second personal self build house that Simon and Nicky Corbett have completed in the Somerset area over the last ten years.  The site is located in Winscombe, North Somerset and affords Northerly views to the Mendip Hills.

Simon carried out full design, project and construction management roles using local tradesmen for the various packages of work. The staircase is an interesting feature as the treads were cast in concrete on site. Moulds were formed by a local joiner to complement Simon's design. These were then bonded to the steel sub-structure with industrial bridge adhesive.
